SPIn Intermediate Status Updates

SPIn Intermediate Status Updates

Minimum Required POS Build: 10133

We’ve implemented intermediate status messages during transactions initiated from third-party cash registers and sent to Dejavoo gateway-powered payment terminals. Now, when a transaction is initiated from the cash register, the terminal shares real-time updates at each stage of the process, such as waiting for tip entry or card input.

These updates are sent to the SPIn API using a standardized JSON structure. The messages are then processed and relayed back to the cash register, helping ensure the interface remains in sync with the terminal’s current state. This improves both clarity and responsiveness during checkout.

Key changes include:

  • Posting of intermediate status updates from the terminal to the SPIn API

  • Structured JSON messaging for consistent processing

  • Real-time relay of status updates to the POS register

  • Smoother, more guided experience for merchants using third-party POS apps

This update brings improved visibility and better coordination between the POS system and the payment terminal.
