Itemized Billing on Send Payment Link

Merchants can now offer detailed, transparent billing using the Send Payment Link feature with itemized billing support.

What’s New?

This enhancement allows merchants to list each product or service individually, along with pricing, discounts, tax, and quantity, ensuring that customers have a clear view of what they’re being charged for.

  • Item Name / Description – Identifies each product or service clearly.

  • Price & Quantity – Displays unit price and number of units.

  • Discounts / Adjustments – Reflects any applied deductions.

  • Subtotal & Taxes – Shows pre-tax total and applicable taxes or fees.

  • Grand Total – The final amount due.

This feature increases transparency, builds customer trust, and reduces billing-related disputes.

How to Use

  • Log in to the iPOSpays portal using a merchant account.

  • Navigate to CloudPOS → Payments.

Pre-requisite: Ensure your inventory is set up correctly.

  1. Enter Customer Details
  • Choose the following options:

    • TPN: Select the CloudPOS TPN to record the transaction.

    • Action: Choose Itemized Billing.

    • Payment Type: Select Send Payment Link.

    • Transaction Type: Choose Sale.

  • Under Customer, enter:

    • Phone or Email (At least one must be provided. The other will become optional.)

    • First Name (mandatory)

    • Optional: Last Name, DBA, Zip Code, City, State

  • Use Reset to clear all fields or Save to continue.

  1. Add Order Details
  • In the Product Name field, search and select the item.

  • The system auto-fills Cash/Card Price and Description based on your inventory setup.

  • Enter the Quantity requested.

  • Optionally, apply a Discount by clicking the % icon, and choose between a fixed amount or a percentage.

  • Click to add more products to the order.

  • To remove a product, click the 🗑️ icon.

  • You can also add a Shipping Fee to the total.

  • Click Next to proceed to the payment details.

  1. Add Payment Details
  • A full breakdown of the order will appear; click Okay to continue.
  • Fill in the following:

    • Phone or Email (At least one must be provided. The other will become optional.)

    • CC Emails (Optional)

    • Link Expiration Time: Choose 1 day, 1 week, or 1 month

    • Reference Number

    • Order Description

    • Disclaimer for the payment page

    • Option to Upload a Custom Invoice

  • Click Reset to start over, or Send Payment Link to deliver the invoice via email or SMS.

Customer Experience

The customer will receive a payment link and can open it on their mobile or desktop to review the invoice and complete the transaction securely.

Invoice

On the merchant login, you can go to CloudPOS → Invoices to locate the invoice for the transaction that was just completed.
