Automatic Card Updates for Recurring Payments

iPOSpays now supports automatic card updates for recurring payments. When a recurring payment is declined because the customer’s stored card token has expired, iPOSpays automatically retrieves the updated card information, updates the expired card token, and completes the payment without merchant intervention.

Previously, merchants had to manually update expired or replaced cards, which could interrupt recurring payments. With this enhancement, eligible card updates are handled automatically.

With This Enhancement

• Card Updater can be triggered for eligible declined recurring transactions.
• When an update is successful, the new card token, label, and masked PAN are returned and stored.
• If the update is skipped or unsuccessful, the existing card information is retained.
