Restricted Mode

Previously, on Gateway-powered payment terminals, an unintended touch on the menu bar or the SPIn Bypass button would cause the device to leave listening mode. This update addresses that issue. With Restricted Mode enabled, the integrated PIN pad device will remain in listening mode, preventing users from accessing the menu and SPIn Bypass.

Where to Enable: From the ISO login, click on S.T.E.A.M, then Edit Parameters -> Search and select the TPN in the search box -> Edit Parameter -> PIN pad -> Enable Restricted Mode

How to Access Restricted Mode in the Payment Terminal: Long Press on any empty space in the integrated PinPad device -> Enter the device password -> Choose Restricted Mode. To disable it, simply long press on the empty space of the device screen again, enter the password, and choose Full Access.
